William Macfarlane, a World War II and Korean War veteran, passed away the night before Veterans Day. He had plans to ride in the Hollister Veterans Day Parade with Gordon Machado, a good friend and fellow veteran. Machado went forward and drove in the parade, with Macfarlane’s name attached to the car, to honor his friend. Watch video of an interview with Machado from the parade site here:
