On National Vietnam War Veterans Day, the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post will honor those who served in that era.
The Hollister-based VFW holds monthly dinners, but Thursday’s in particular will be to honor Vietnam veterans, as it’s National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
The dinner is open to the public. It is set for 5 p.m. in the main hall at the Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Hollister at 649 San Benito St.
A flier for the Potluck Dinner event are asked to bring a favorite side dish or dessert, while tri-tip will be provided.
The site’s building manager, Ellen Herrera, said the VFW asks for donations and puts out a donation can as well.
