Update: Beaver Fire at 65 percent containment

Updated at 8:52 a.m. Thursday

A day after Calfire contained two other wildfires along Coalinga Road in southern San Benito County, they were fighting another.

Calfire Tuesday evening started fighting the Beaver Fire off Coalinga Road and Airline Highway east of King City. The fire was reported at 250 acres and 20 percent contained as of 7:38 p.m. Tuesday, according to Calfire.

But as of 8:24 a.m. Thursday, Calfire had updated the incident report to show 215 acres and 65 percent contained.

The Airline and Eastern fires, nearby in south San Benito County, started the evening of June 4 but were out as of Monday at 6:14 p.m., according to the Calfire incidents database.

The Airline Fire burned 1,314 acres, while the Eastern Fire burned 513 acres. Both of the wildfires were along Coalinga Road, one east of Bitterwater and the other near Airline Highway.

Those fires started around the same time as the 64-acre Panoche Fire in the 20000 block of Panoche Road that is believed to have sparked with a camping trailer fire, which resulted in the deaths of a 27-year-old woman, her 3-year-old and her 8-month-old child.
