The Hollister School District is excited to report that Rancho Santana School is well on its way to completion now that two of the school’s buildings have been erected.

Rancho Santana School is expected to open in August 2021. The district’s Director of Facilities, Aaron Buzzetta, whose job includes monitoring the school construction project said the following:

“Rancho Santana School is on schedule. We’ve got two buildings up. Plumbing is going in and foundations are being poured for our remaining buildings.”

Superintendent Diego Ochoa had this to say.

“I am excited to see the construction project progress so well. This school will be a beautiful facility that will educate our TK-8th grade students for years to come.” Recent project accomplishments include:

  1. Completion of all soil preparation for buildings.
  2. Completion of concrete foundations for two of the school’s five buildings.
  3. Installation of rebar and vapor barrier for two of the school’s five buildings.
  4. Completion of slab on grade for two of the school’s five buildings.

The school is located off Fairview Road and Sunnyslope Drive. The entire campus will include 12 acres of space for the expected 850 student capacity. Rancho Santana School will be the district’s eleventh school. Funding for the school has been secured by the school district through a combination of Bond measure funds and developer fees. Rancho Santana School will consist of an administration building, library/media center, thirty-five classrooms, a playground, ball courts, and turf fields.
