On behalf of the Board of Trustees, administration and Superintendent Shawn Tennenbaum, the San Benito High School District celebrates the many contributions of its employees by proclaiming May 9 as Staff Appreciation Day. Every staff member plays an important role in the education of our students, serving as role models and providing support in many ways. The Board of Trustees approved a resolution proclaiming May 9 as Staff Appreciation Day, providing an opportunity to recognize the daily, selfless dedication of certificated teachers, support staff, classified and confidential employees, and supervisors and administrators, all of whom work in conjunction to provide a safe, positive learning environment. On Wednesday, each staff member will be presented with lunch, a personalized thank-you, and a pin to symbolize the shared goals of the district: Relevance, Inclusion, Relationships and Rigor. This is also a day to honor the contributions of coaches, volunteers, parents and the community, who all support the district’s mission to educate all students to their highest potential so they will have the greatest range of personal options upon graduation.
