Suspects arrested for graffiti at Sunnyslope School

On June 10, 2019 the Hollister Police Department received a report of three males spray painting gang graffiti at Sunnyslope Elementary School.  Two of the males were arrested and one was given a citation.    

At about 11:51 p.m., officers responded to Sunnyslope School. A citizen called and reported three persons were spray painting the walls of the school. 

The suspects matching the description given by the caller were detained as they were leaving the area. Officers conducted further investigation and noted there was fresh gang graffiti located at the school and at a nearby address. Matching paint was on the suspect’s hands.

The suspects were identified as being Julio Grivalba and Romeo Beltran, both Hollister residents. There was also a male juvenile involved with the crime. All three were arrested.

Grivalba was charged with vandalism. Beltran was charged with vandalism and had an outstanding warrant.  The juvenile was issued a citation for vandalism and released to his parents.
