The Institute for Innovation and Economic Development is excited to announce that the 2019 Startup Challenge Monterey Bay new business competition has started and we are accepting applications now through midnight March 11.
Startup Challenge Monterey Bay is a regional business competition and acceleration program for entrepreneurs in the Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties. It is a competitive acceleration process that teaches, coaches, mentors, networks, and connects entrepreneurs to the knowledge and resources they need. Prospective entrepreneurs, start-ups, emerging companies and students showcase and develop their business concepts while competing for CASH prizes. This year there will be over $60K in cash prizes!
There are four divisions in the competition: the Venture Division for businesses intending to scale; the Main Street Division for small businesses; the Student Division for students from middle school through graduate; and a new division: the Social Venture division for nonprofits and businesses with a mission.
