San Benito High School teachers, counselors and administrators each week recognize students as Baler STRONG Students of the Week. STRONG is an acronym for (Scholarship, Teamwork, Reflection, Opportunity, Nurture and Growth), representing the core values of San Benito High School. Each student earning recognition is presented with a certificate signifying the honor.
Here are the recipients for week of Feb. 4-8:
The Special Education Department nominated two seniors for exemplifying growth: Tyler Brock’s nomination notes that he “has stepped up and started volunteering in class. He is becoming a leader in modified P.E. In dance, he is asking to assist the teacher.”
SPED also nominated senior Angelina Garcia Ornelas, whose nomination comments said, “I’m proud to see Angelina slowly advocate for herself this school year. She continues to grow out of her comfort zone.”
Long Term Independent Studies nominated two seniors, Alora Garcia for growth, and Nataly Acosta for reflection. Garcia’s nomination form stated that she has done a “terrific job on all assignments! Awesome attitude for her future; highly self-motivated.” Acosta’s nomination stated that she is “Completely caring for her peers. Truly recognizes her current place!
