On Friday, April 12, six San Benito High School auto students attended the 10th Annual Monterey Peninsula College High School Automotive Skills Challenge, placing second among eight teams from around the tri-county area.

Students were required to do a comprehensive vehicle inspection, take a multiple choice test, do precision and electrical measuring, remember vehicle information after a presentation from Tesla, rotate tires, and find a no-start problem.

“After five hours of competition, we ended up in second place with 434 points to the winning team’s 440,” said SBHS auto teacher Tom Agan. “I’m proud of our students!”
