The Hollister Police Department released a statement saying sandbags are available today with expectations for a significant rainstorm hitting the area.
According to the HPD statement:
As precaution only, the City is Hollister has prepositioned sand bags at three locations within the City of Hollister. It does not appear at this time the coming weather event of the next several days will bring flood level precipitation; however, due to an abundance of caution, sand bags have been placed in three locations in the City of Hollister.
Locations: 1. Limited to first come/ first serve – City Yard – 1321 South Street (24 hrs) Business hours only
2. Hollister Fire Station 2 – 1100 Union Road
3. Hollister Airport – 60 Airport Drive
The City Council and Staff of the City of Hollister wishes all a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.
