San Juan considers part-time worker to help businesses with relief

San Juan Bautista will consider spending $20,000 on a part-time disaster services worker to help local businesses with COVID-19 relief programs.

The special city council meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at San Juan Bautista City Hall, but public participation is limited to the Zoom app.

The only specific agenda item is the following:

Establish a $20,000 COVID-19 Emergency Fund using General Fund Reserves to pay for a new part-time position to serve as a disaster services worker that will assist business owners through the State Office of Emergency Services (Cal-OES) and Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) assistance process, and to provide for associated supplies and services.
