Wrestling
Baler boys’ wrestling finished in 8th place as a team at the CCS championships, with Top 6 finishes by Ethan Rossi (6th at 126 pounds), Michael Guzman (5th at 145 pounds), Alberto Rodriguez (5th at 220 pounds). Baler girls’ wrestling finished 13th out of 69 teams, with junior Jenna Hartman earning her second consecutive trip to the state championship with a fourth place finish at 116 pounds.
Girls’ Basketball
Baler girls’ basketball won its opening-round CCS playoff game in a home overtime thriller, 59-55 over Alisal. San Benito played the next day against Los Gatos, wrapping up the season with a 58-43 loss in the second round of the CCS playoffs.
Girls’ Soccer
No. 6 seeded varsity girls’ soccer wrapped up its season with a 1-0 loss to third-seeded Sacred Heart Cathedral in the CCS Division 3 quarterfinals.
