San Benito County has 38 confirmed COVID-19 cases

San Benito County had three more confirmed COVID-19 cases since Friday’s last release of figures.

The county had 38 confirmed cases as of Monday afternoon – three more than the 35 cases reported as of Friday.

Among those cases, 28 patients have recovered, eight are active and there have been two deaths.

According to the latest announcement Monday:

To date, a total of 557 patients in San Benito County have been tested for COVID-19 at twelve reporting laboratories.

Of these, 482 have tested negative for COVID-19 and 37 are pending results. Fifty-eight percent (321) of patients tested were female. Patients ages ranged from 10 months to 101 years (median: 45 years).

San Benito County Public Health Services continues to work with medical providers to identify and test individuals who meet criteria for COVID-19 testing.

As of April 13, 2020, there have been a total of 38 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Benito County; 8 cases remain active. Confirmed cases include patients who have since recovered and those who are deceased. Twenty-eight patients have recovered and are no longer considered active cases in San Benito County.

A total of 2 deaths have been reported in San Benito County, one during weeks 12 and 14, respectively. All results included in this update are current to April 13, 2020 at 12:00PM.
