Democrat Robert Rivas’ campaign for State Assembly District 30 had spent more than $700,000 from Jan. 1 through Sept. 22, according to filings due Thursday with the secretary of state’s office.
Rivas, a San Benito County supervisor from Hollister running in the heavily Democratic district, filed his campaign finance forms that showed he had raised more than a half-million dollars since Jan. 1. That includes $146,565 from the period of July 1 to Sept. 22.
Campaign documents for his opponent, Neil Kitchens, were not yet available as of Friday morning on the state website.
