Good evening Anzar Students and Families,
Today, the administration at Anzar High School and Aromas-San Juan School District were made aware of a potential threat against Anzar High School posted on social media.
The San Benito County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that this is an unfounded threat. Also, Facebook has verified that this is not a credible threat as it was not tied to any specific account and is typical of a hack.
Anzar High School will be in session tomorrow, Monday, October 21, 2019. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be law enforcement presence on campus all day. During the school day, the gates to the entrance of the school will be closed.
The safety of students and staff is our number one priority, and we will continue to ensure that Anzar remains a safe and secure campus at all times. Notifications will be sent out via an all-call this evening, the school’s website, Anzar’s Facebook page, and the District’s website.

Buenas tardes estudiantes y familias de Anzar,
Hoy, la administracion de la preparatoria de Anzar y el Distrito escolar de Aromas-San Juan fueron informados sobre una amenaza possible en contra de la escuela de Anzar que fue anunciada en las redes sociales.
La oficina del Sheriff del Condado de San Benito ha confirmado que ha sido una amenaza sin fundamento. Tambien, Facebook ha verificado que esta no es una amenaza creible porque no esta atada a ninguna cuenta especifica y es tipico de piratear.
La escuela de Anzar tendra clases manana, lunes 21 de octubre del 2019. Para mayor precaucion, tendremos la presencia de la policia en el plantel todo el dia. Durante el dia escolar, las rejas de las entradas de la escuela se mantendran cerradas.
La seguridad de los estudiantes y el personal es nuestra prioridad, y continuaremos asegurando que la escuela de Anzar continue segura en todo momento. Notificaciones seran mandadas por medio de nuestro sistema de llamadas automaticas esta tarde, la pagina de internet de la escuela, Facebook de Anzar, y las paginas de internet del distrito.
