The Special Olympics of Northern California presented Hollister Police Chief David Westrick with an Award of Excellence for his dedication and commitment to Special Olympics on Thursday during the California Police Chief’s Association Annual Symposium.
“If we encourage a culture of giving back, it’s an infectious way of thinking that can transform a city, a county, a state, and a nation. I am honored to receive this recognition. This is the culmination of efforts by our supportive staff and this community,” Westrick said in an announcement on the award.
