Photo: Salvation Army collecting at Windmill through Christmas

That familiar ringing of bells will cheer customers at a San Juan Bautista grocery store through the holidays.

The Salvation Army based in San Benito County will be out collecting donations in front of the Windmill Market in San Juan Bautista through the Christmas holiday.

Maria Romero, the captain for the local Salvation Army chapter, was recently out in front the Windmill located at The Alameda and Highway 156. She told San Benito Live the organization will be out in front of the store for the first time this year and that the collections will last through Christmas.

She also noted how the Salvation Army is offering an Angel Tree inside the store. For details on the Angel Tree efforts, go here.
