Modesta E. Gonzalez passed away in Salinas at the age of 82. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, she enjoyed being outside taking care of plants, she was often known for sharing her stories about life and her favorite pasttime was attending bingo with friends.
She is survived by her son, Oscar Gonzalez, grandchildren, Caitlyn Gonzalez and Antonio Gonzalez, Sherry Elliott, brother, Rafael Escobedo, nieces Irma Rodriguez, Anna Machado, Rebecca Martinez, Elida Traulsen, Elvira Diaz, Maria Escobedo, Luisa Escobedo as well as other family members and friends.
The Rosary will be on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
The Mass will be on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church with cremation following.
Friends can pay their respects on Thursday, May 2, 2019 after 1:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.
