San Benito High School on June 4 held a dedication for the memorial bench in honor of 2017 SBHS alumnus Nathan Van de Mark, who was a peer helper with the Life Skills program while a student.
Nathan’s mother, Michelle Van De Mark, and her friend Cindy Jordan in December 2018 presented the Life Skills Department with a check for $7,443 in memory of Nathan, to benefit programs for “Nathan’s Buddies.”
Nathan’s grandparents, Mel and Yvonne Silveira, and his uncle, Jo Jo Silveira, are shown here with the bench.
