A patient has been airlifted from the scene of a major-injury traffic accident near Highway 25 and San Felipe Road in Hollister, according to the California Highway Patrol’s online reporting system.
The accident occurred at about 4:15 a.m. It involved two vehicles that went off the roadway, according to the CHP.
A Calstar helicopter was set to land at the intersection to transport a victim shortly after 4:30 a.m.
One patient was airlifted to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas by helicopter, while the other was transported to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.
