What can you do to alleviate the opioid crisis?
Take your unused and expired medications to the DEA National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Target parking lot here in Hollister.
It is being hosted by the San Benito County Opioid Task Force and Hollister Police Department, which was out at the inaugural Earth Day event last weekend promoting ways to dispose of unused medications and opioids.
According to public health, every 11 minutes someone dies from an opioid overdose.
