San Benito County Democrats added three new members to the local party’s organizing committee.
Added to the Central Committee from County Supervisor District 1 was Barbara Rubio. Added from County Supervisor District 3 was former Hollister Mayor and County Supervisor Pat Loe and Elia Salinas. With the additions of the new members the Democratic Central Committee has limited openings in Districts 1, 4, and 5.
“I am extremely proud to welcome these dedicated Democrats,” said County Chair Leslie Austin. “We are building a strong, diverse team to advocate for our values and to elect Democrats to national, state, and local office.
“San Benito County is on the move!”
The Democratic Central Committee is the official party organization in San Benito County. It’s 22 members represent Democrats in all County Supervisorial Districts. The Central Committee includes members appointed by Democrats elected to represent the county in the California Assembly, state Senate and Congress.
