Courtesy of the Hollister Police Department:

On July 10 around 3:06 a.m., officers received a call of gunshots being heard  in the area of the 300 block of Locust Avenue.  Police officers arrived within minutes but they did not find any victims or any property damage.

Upon further investigation, officers found five spent bullet casing in the immediate area.  Officers contacted the residence of several houses in the area but did not find any victims or damage.  However, officers were able to obtain video footage from a surveillance system of an older model white, Jeep, Grand Cherokee driving by during the shooting.  The video depicts an occupant in the vehicle firing several shots from the car.

On July 10, as officers were still investigating the incident on Locust Avenue, they learned there had been a previous shooting a short distance away. Officer responded to the residence located on the 600 block of Central Avenue.  Officers did not locate any injured victims or additional witnesses.  Officers did locate several handgun bullet casing and bullet holes located in a nearby house.
