Josie Sanchez was elected president of the San Benito County Healthcare District Board on Thursday.
Jeri Hernandez nominated Sanchez, and Ariel Hurtado nominated himself. There was no second on the motion from Hurtado.
With Angie De La Cruz seconding the motion for Sanchez, the board voted and chose her unanimously.
The president of the board’s main job is to run the district’s board meetings.
