The Hollister School District is excited to announce plans for the Migrant Education Program Summer School.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Migrant Summer School will implement distance learning to ensure instructional continuity. This will allow us to  secure the health of students and staff.

“Our exceptional  teachers and staff will continue to meet the needs of our migrant students – from home,” Superintendent Diego Ochoa said. “It isn’t what we have always done, but it will be a great program.”

Online summer classes will take place June 15th to July 14th. The district has developed an exciting program and that will educate hundreds of needy students.

Coordinator of Migrant & EL Programs Patrisia Martinez said the following: “Students will meet with their teacher online for an hour a day and have independent work in the areas of  language arts, math, English language development, and socioemotional lessons.”

Small group classes will be held Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 11a.m. to noon. Students that participate in the summer will have access to educational technology and district-provided internet service. If you have any questions or concerns, please call (831) 630- 6300, Extension 304 or email Patrisia Martinez at [email protected].
