The Hollister School District is excited to inform the community that more than 4,000 Week 1 Student Work Packets were provided to the children in our community on the first day of distribution.
Superintendent Diego Ochoa said: “All of us were just shocked by the numbers of families who came to campus. The district started the day with 3,000 packets and had to rush to make more. I want all families to know that we’ll be prepared with enough packets for all the families that show tomorrow.
The school district set this plan in motion starting on Friday, March 13. Teachers began using technology to create lessons and activities that were included in “Week 1 Student Packets”. Assistant Superintendent Erika Sanchez said, “Students will not be required to complete the work accessed in this manner, nor will the work be graded. But it is so uplifting to know that our students are eager to work on these review packets.”
The district has also posted the Week 1 Student Packets online at www.hesd.org. For more information, please contact Superintendent Diego Ochoa at [email protected].
