The Hollister Police Department arrested a local man for possession of firearms, according to a statement from the HPD.
According to that announcement:
On June 12 at about 7:21 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Fourth Street and Westside Boulevard when he spotted a traffic violation and stopped the vehicle.
The officer contacted the driver Jorge Ivan Jaramillo Regalado, age 29. Regalado, a resident of Salinas, was found to be on probation for drugs and firearms violations.
As the officer was conducting further investigation, a rifle was found concealed, in the rear seat of the vehicle. A loaded handgun and a large quantity of ammunition were found in the trunk.
Regalado was arrested and charged with carrying a loaded firearm while not being the owner, two counts of a probationer in possession of a firearm, and a felon in possession of a fiream/ammunition and carryining a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
