The Hollister Future Farmers of America recently attended the Monterey County Fair, which was held from Aug. 29 to Sept. 3.
San Benito High School students entered SAE (Supervised Agriculture Experience) Projects as they represented Hollister FFA and San Benito High School.
Hollister FFA had four hog exhibitors, three beef exhibitors, three goat exhibitors and four sheep exhibitors. Each student exhibited their animals in market classes and showmanship classes (when the students were judged on their showing ability).
In addition, students who won their respective Advanced Showmanship classes were able to compete in a Round Robin Competition (students showed four species of livestock).
