Each week, the Hollister School District honors and recognizes two worthy children as the male and female, “Students of the Week”. The district receives nominations by school sites and recognizes students who show excellent leadership, behavior, and academics.
All honorees receive a “Student of the Week” certificate with an inscription detailing the reason they were chosen. This week’s recipients are from Calaveras K-8 School:
Gloria Elizarraraz is an exceptional student in Mrs. Canez’s 5th grade class. Gloria works very hard in and out of the classroom. Gloria is in the process of earning her English Language reclassifiication. She is an outstanding, respectful, and determined student. Gloria is very kind and empathetic to others. She will go out of her way to greet others and ask them about their day. She is always smiling and has a contagious positive energy.
Andres Trinidad is an outstanding student in Mrs. Acuna’s 7th grade class. Andres always gives 100% in the classroom. He is always participating in class, and has a positive attitude everyday. Andres in part of the band and is part of the boys basketball team. Andres is a kind and respectful person who gets along with everyone.
