Every so often, Bill’s Bullpen comic book shop in Hollister offers the best price possible for fan boys and fan girls: Free.
Bill’s Bullpen hosts seasonal events at the shop, 207 Fourth St., with one incentive being the promoted free comic book for attendees.
Owner Bill Mifsud hosts the events each year on the national Free Comic Book Day, but then other widely promoted free comic gatherings.
The latest was the Halloween Comic Fest set for 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 29 at Bill’s Bullpen. As usual, Bill’s featured a Batman character, but joining him were Supergirl and Spiderman. The characters were available for pictures, or superhero small talk, from noon to 2 p.m.
