The fourth installment of the Palabra/Word Artist Showcase at El Teatro Campesino is set to run this weekend.
The showcase runs Thursday-Sunday at El Teatro, 705 Fourth St. in San Juan Bautista.
There will be new and returning artists taking the state at the iconic theatre that will include live theater, music, poetry, comedy and plenty of emotion, according to the theater company’s announcement.
Tickets are $10 at the door, while Corina’s Cantina will open one hour prior to performances. Open seating starts 30 minutes prior to performance times.
It will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and then at 2 p.m. Sunday.
As for El Teatro, Luis Valdez founded the historic Chicano theatre in 1965. Cristal Gonzalez and Alfredo Avila are among organizers for the fourth Palabra/Word showcase.
