Foundation: First 2019 grant cycle opens Feb. 15

The Community Foundation for San Benito County announced the first grant cycle of 2019 for nonprofit organizations opens Feb. 15.

It is among two grant cycles for 2019, according to the philanthropic organization.

According to details announced on the foundation’s Facebook page, the grant cycle opens Feb. 15 with a deadline of April 19, decisions announced July 5 and a funding deadline of Oct. 31.

The second grant cycle opens Aug. 2. According to the foundation, nonprofits should apply if a project or program is ready to launch within the next three months, and matching grants do not exceed $10,000.

The foundation’s announcement notes that “Proposals of Capacity Building Grants” will be given highest priority followed by grants for projects in fields that include agricultural preservation, environment, arts and culture, community enhancement, economic development, education and youth, and health and social services.
