A Youth Summit is scheduled for Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Building in Hollister.
The event hosted by Breathe California, with support from San Benito County, will feature discussions on cyber bullying, vaping, being a spokesperson, and learning how to speak in front of elected officials.
The keynote speaker is Ray Mendoza, former Deputy District Attorney for Santa Clara County.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Residents can also register on Eventbrite under SanBenitoYouthSummit2019.

There will be games, food, activities, raffle prizes and more.
The opportunity opened up a couple of months ago when the local tobacco program put out a request for applications. Breathe California was one of the applicants. The organization has done a similar program in Santa Clara County and wanted to do one here as well, said Elaine Narciso with San Benito County Public Health Services.
“They got together a group of local youths to plan the whole thing,” Narciso said.
The free event is open to the public, while there will be lunch as well.
