Three local government bodies will get together for a special presentation on the state’s open meetings law at a retreat today.
The San Benito County Board of Supervisors are hosting the special retreat meeting at 9 a.m. at 2301 Technology Parkway, Hollister.
Joining the board will be the San Benito County Planning Commission and the San Juan Bautista City Council.
The entities will discuss the Brown Act, which governs open meetings in California, along with Rober’s Rules, Rosenberg’s Rules of Order  and the board rules of procedures.
The board will also discuss supervisors’ roles and responsibilities, operations under the administrative office, and conflict of interest laws.
