A 22-year-old woman died in a traffic collision early Saturday at Highways 25 and 156 in San Benito County.
The victim was Yanelly Garcia Lobato of Gilroy, according to the San Benito County Coroner’s Office.
The California Highway Patrol has not yet released details on the matter. But the initial response calls indicated multiple critical injuries and that two involved parties may have fled from the scene.
The incident was initially reported at 2:22 a.m. at the intersection of the two highways in the Hollister area. It prompted a temporary closure of the junction.
