CHP to host senior driving seminar

The California Highway Patrol is holding a free traffic safety class for seniors on March 20.

It is set for 1-4 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Cultural and Community Center at 17000 Monterey Road in Morgan Hill.

The program called “Age Well Drive Smart” was developed to assist drivers ages 65 and older to continue driving safely. The course curriculum addresses such topics as aging and its effect on safe driving, maintaining good physical health, rules of the road, license re-exam process, self-assessment and more.

The CHP noted in an announcement that some insurance companies offer members a discount on premiums for successfully completing the class.

To RSVP for the class, please contact Officer Chris Miceli at (408) 848-234, ext. 211 or email [email protected]. Funding for this program is provided through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
