A 51-year-old Hollister woman died Saturday after crashing her car into a tree along Fairview Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Kelley Gonzalez of Hollister died in the accident. She had been driving a 2009 Nissan Altima shortly before 7 p.m. at an unknown speed southbound on Fairview Road, North of Maranatha Drive, when the accident occurred.
For an unknown reason, Gonzalez drove off the west edge of Fairview Road and collided with a tree. She died at the scene. Responders attempted to give her aid but were unable to revive her, while the CHP noted she had been pinned in the driver’s seat.
Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor.
