The California Highway Patrol is hosting a free car seat check-up Oct. 27 at Gilroy Gardens, and the first 100 participants will receive a ticket to the park.
The event is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the main parking lot of the park, 3050 Hecker Pass Highway in Gilroy.
The CHP noted in an announcement that drivers can get their car seat inspected by a certified child passenger safety technician. The event is being deemed as the sixth annual Seats for Treats.
