Due to the current dry weather conditions and increased flammabiity of forest fuels and grasses, Fie Season is declared in San Benito and Monterey Counties as of 8:00 AM on Monday, May 18, 2020.
Those are where the Declaration of Fire Season is initiated by this Declaration are: All state responsibility area lands and local responsibility lands under jurisdiction of Cal Fire within the Counties of Monterey and San Benito.Â
This declaration implements the fire prevention requiremnts of the Public Resources Code, sections 4292 to 4296.
