San Benito High School teachers, counselors and administrators each week recognize students as Baler STRONG Students of the Week. STRONG is an acronym for (Scholarship, Teamwork, Reflection, Opportunity, Nurture and Growth), representing the core values of San Benito High School. Each student earning recognition is presented with a certificate and a T-shirt signifying the honor. Here are the recipients for week of October 14-18:

World Languages nominated juniors Noah Fort for Teamwork and Ayden Triano for Scholarship.

Noah’s nomination form states: “Noah sets a fine example of a Baler STRONG student. In class, he often asks for clarification or examples which everyone appreciates. He was elected French Club president and has revitalized a dying club. The energy he puts forth makes the club members more excited and he has a way of including everyone’s input. He is positive and cheerful and is a natural leader.”

Ayden’s nomination notes: “Scholarship has been shown by Ayden with him always doing what is asked and it being exceptional work. He has done very well in understanding and respecting the deaf culture that has covered in ASL (American Sign Language).”

Senior Brenton Johnson was nominated by the Social Science Department for Opportunity.

“Brenton works on personal growth and taking advantage of opportunities on campus,” according to his nomination. “For instance, Brenton is the ball boy for the girls’ field hockey team and joined Interact Club this past weekend for our annual leadership workshop in San Jose.”

Nominated for Scholarship by the Social Science Department is junior Samantha Logue, who is described as a “very bright, hardworking individual that is a joy to have in my class.”
