On Friday, poet/author Tim Z. Hernandez is scheduled for a return to San Benito High School to talk about his recent book, “All They Will Call You,” according to the high school.

According to an announcement on the SBHS website:

He’ll be speaking in the campus library to Frank Perez’s Fall and Spring semester Mexican-American history classes during 4th Block. This and his previous visit were made possible through a grant secured by California Center for the Book and Poets & Writers. The School Site Council also contributed to the effort to bring him to campus.

His visit about the book on Friday is set for 90 minutes with a talk and Q&A session. The story chronicles the crash of a DC-3 aircraft near Coalinga in 1948. The book weaves local history and U.S. immigration policy while focusing on the 28 Mexican nationals who died in the crash.
