The San Benito County Arts Council is pleased to announce a new cohort of grantees from its 2019 Arts Express! Grant Program, which provides support to local artists, art groups and art and cultural organizations through quick and easy mini-grants up to $1,000.
This year’s grantees include:
Organizations: El Teatro Campesino; San Benito Stage Company; Chamberlain’s Children Center; JMM Dance Company; Folklorico Juvenil; Terra Cultura; Mr. O’s Academy of the Arts; Aromas Hills Artisans & Calpulli Itzpapalotl Danza Azteca
Individual Artists: Roxy Montana; Victoria Murray and Vicki Rashkin
Schools: RO Hardin School and Anzar High School
The goal of the Arts Express! Grant Program is to support cultural and artistic growth, foster arts accessibility and equity and promote cultural diversity in San Benito County. Applicants were encouraged to request funding for the creation of new work; exhibitions & presenting; arts in education programs; community outreach and organizational capacity. Funded projects will take place in 2019.
The Arts Express! Grant Program is made possible through a Community Impact Grant from the Community Foundation for San Benito County and from Corbin.
