Hollister council members Monday will consider several times related to the airport, including a 40-year lease agreement with INCO Investments for 18,000 square feet of space at the Hollister Municipal Airport, along with a “fly-in” event at the airport and the annual fireworks show July 4.
Those are among the items on the agenda for Hollister City Council members at a meeting set for 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St.:

Ground lease with INCO Investments
Approving a Ground Lease with INCO Investments LLC for an 18,000 Square Foot Hangar and Offices at the Hollister Municipal Airport(Management Services)BRIEF DESCRIPTION:This item would instruct the City Manager,upon receipt of CEQA and Zoning approvals, to execute a 40-year ground lease with INCO Investments LLC at a rate of $3,780 a month. At the conclusion of the lease, the improvements revert to city ownership, according to the agenda.
Fly-In event for July 4
This action appropriates $20,000 from the Airport Enterprise Fund to conduct a fly-in on July 4, 2019 at the Hollister Municipal Airport.
Fireworks show at airport
This action will appropriate an additional $15,000 from the General Fund Balance to enhance the municipal fireworks show at the Hollister Airport on July 4.
Veterans Memorial Building lease
The City Council will receive a report on the status of the current and proposed lease agreement between the City of Hollister and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9242/ American Legion Post 69. The current contract expires on April 3, 2019. However, the contract automatically continues for two additional years if not terminated by proper notice pursuant to the agreement. This item will provide the council and staff an opportunity to discuss terms and conditions of a new contract should the relationship continue.
City manager recruitment
The City Council will discuss the recruiting process for the next city manager. Staff can release a Request for Proposals to executive search firms to assist the council by providing the most qualified candidates for selection, or the recruitment process can be handled by in-house staff.
