After eight years, the ghosts are still alive and well in San Juan Bautista.
The Mission City in San Benito County each year around Halloween hosts a Ghost Walk, put on by the local Rotary Club with proceeds going to local groups, which includes a guided walking tour, ghost sightings, paranormal activities and, to lighten the mood, a gift bag.
The eighth annual San Juan Bautista Ghost Walk in 2016 was Oct. 28 and Oct. 29. Tours started every half-hour with the first at 6:30 p.m. and the last at 8:30 p.m. each of those nights.
Participants checked in at the “Ghoul Line” at Third and Mariposa streets. For more, go to rotarysanjuanbautista.com/ghost-walk.html.
