Exciting things are taking place at Sunnyslope Elementary School during Distance Learning!
They know that we are going to get through this tough time together, and while students are at home continuing their education, the school is preparing for their return.
The custodians at Sunnyslope School are working on painting projects to spruce up the school. When students and parents return to the school site (at a date to be determined later) they will notice brighter colors all around the campus.
Superintendent Diego Ochoa wants to make sure that when students pull back into the parking lot and return through the gates that there will be more than just smiling faces and excitement in the air. There will be benches with fresh paint, yellow poles on the basketball hoops inviting students to shoot some hoops, freshly painted green benches waiting for students to sit and read a book on underneath the warm sun and gentle breeze all the while surrounded by the squeals of laughter of students enjoying being together and seeing their friends for the first time in months.
So while we wait for the time schools reopen, Sunnyslope custodians are hard at work creating a beautiful landscape for us all to return to.
