VFW has limited supply of free Pledge of Allegiance coloring booklets, pencils

VFW Auxiliary 9242 (Hollister) has a limited supply of Pledge of Allegiance Coloring Booklets and pencils available free. If you would like to request the booklet and pencil for your elementary age children, email your address and #of children to:  [email protected]

VFW Auxiliary 9242 has forms and information for VFW annual Scholarships and the annual Teacher award. To be sent additional information, please email: [email protected] with grade of student (middle school or high school). Applications are due to Posts 6359 (San Juan Bautista) or 9242 (Hollister) before October 31, 2020. 

“VFW Auxiliary 9242 in Hollister, CA is asking local children to participate in our “Honoring Veterans” project. Many of our elderly veterans are feeling very lonely and isolated during the COVID 19 crisis.  We would like K-12 children to write a note of appreciation, create a drawing or card, or write a letter to our older Veterans. Please send by October 15, 2020 to “Honoring Veterans Project”, c/o Lynette Peavey, 14910 San Juan Road, Dos Palos, CA 93620. All documents received will be distributed to Veterans at VA Palo Alto and local veterans for Veterans Day.”
