A 28-year-old Aromas man died in a collision Monday morning on Highway 129.
The San Benito County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Mitchel Kraft.
Kraft was killed when he crossed a double-yellow line for unknown reasons and struck a semi-truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP, Kraft was in a 2018 Honda Civic westbound on 129 west of Highway 101. The driver of the Peterbilt tractor trailer, from Vacaville, was eastbound on 129 at the time.
The CHP noted neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected as factors, but the incident remains under investigation.
