Hollister farmers market is back on for two months on Saturdays

The Hollister Downtown Association announced there will now be a farmers market, about a month after cancelling this year’s weekly event.

According to an announcement from HDA Executive Director Corey Mullen Schaffer:

“It will be held in conjunction with the street closures for the outdoor dining on San Benito Street, being organized by the City. Currently, we are only able to have certified farmers/producers and have reached out to see who will be available for the coming ten Saturdays. Our plan is to commence Saturday June 6th and run through August 15th, with no market on July 4th weekend. Farmers will set up at 8:00 a.m. to be open for business from 9:00 a.m. To 12:00 p.m.”

The HDA announced in early May the market would not happen this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The market was scheduled to run from May 6 to Sept. 9 this year on Wednesdays, along with a special Saturday market Sept. 19.
