San Benito County added two more confirmed cases of COVID-19 to its official count Friday, bringing the total to 44.
The county has had the 44 cases that include 39 recovered patients, three active cases and two deaths.
According to the latest from the county:
To date, a total of 676 patients in San Benito County have been tested for COVID-19 at fourteen reporting laboratories. Of these, 600 have tested negative for COVID-19 and 32 are pending results.
Fifty-eight percent (390) of patients tested were female. Patients ages ranged from 10 months to 101 years (median: 46 years).
San Benito County Public Health Services continues to work with medical providers to identify and test individuals who meet criteria for COVID-19 testing.
As of April 17, 2020, there have been a total of 44 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Benito County; 3 cases remain active. Confirmed cases include patients who have since recovered and those who are deceased.
Thirty-nine patients have recovered and are no longer considered active cases in San Benito County.
A total of 2 deaths have been reported in San Benito County, one during weeks 12 and 14, respectively.
