A 68-year-old Gustine man died in a solo-vehicle crash Saturday morning on Highway 152 near Casa de Fruta, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at 6:20 a.m. east of Casa de Fruta where the driver in a 2006 Suburu Forester struck a concrete divider for unknown reasons.
The victim was driving at an unknown speed and suddenly turned to the left, striking the center divider. It caused minor damage to the vehicle, which came to a rest in the roadway.
Emergency personnel arrived, but the man was unresponsive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause is still under investigation, but authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be involved.
